Veet wax strips dont work, any tips?

I put it one and take it off the right way but i doesnt pick up the hairs. Im thinking maybe after i put the strip down i should ice it or something i dont really know. And trust me the hair arent too short or too long i waited and made sure they would be the right length, just so i can try the wax strips out. Any body else have the same problem and anyone have a solution? k thanks in a advance
