How can I train for an Irish Dance Feis?

As great as conditioning is it doesn't actually help all that much in Irish dancing. When I have a competition coming up I drill little pieces of my steps over and over and over. Think about your feet placement (cross over, turnout, on your toes, etc). If you can get a mirror so you can watch your feet it is extremely helpful. A small plywood board is also a great investment because hen you can practice hardshoe at home even if you don't have much space. Make sure all of your rhythms are sharp and clear and that you kick your butt every time.

Which Rapala crankbait is best used for fishing Smallmouth in shallow, rocky cover?

In late June, I will be fishing Lake Erie for Smallmouth Bass. We kill them around piers at this time of the year on jigs, tubes, finesse worms, etc. I'm sort of new to crankbait fishing, though. I'm definitely going to buy some X-Raps and Clackin' Raps, but what about a good crankbait for this situation. The water we fish is around 5 feet, give or take, and its mostly rocks. When I first started dancing, I was the best in the class. My teacher loved me, and I was such a good dancer. But that was like 5 years ago, and now I'm not doing as well as I would like.. Help!! My betta fish is sick or going to die soon I think!!?

Well, I'm afraid that tomorrow morning I'm going to find a dead betta fish in my tank because my betta is just sitting at the bottom of the tank, looking lifeless. He is not lying on his side or anything. I've also been noticing that during these past few days, he has a short and thin white strip of skin going down his head, and most of his face looks more whitish'. It looks like it is hard for him to breathe because he is breathing with really deep and exaggerated breaths. He also looks bloated and it also looks hard for him to swim around, especially swimming upwards to get air or eat. In fact, he only moves when he swims up to the surface for some oxygen. Even when I made some loud noise or movement, he didn't react to it at all!! My betta is a fish that gets scared really easily and now, its like he's deaf! Actually I don't even know if fish can be deaf...do they even have ears? well never mind. Please, please, please, can anyone out there on the internet please help my poor betta fish?!!? Spinning reel problem?

Its a micro lite (cheap), and I have been using jigs and very small soft minnow lures. I noticed that because the lures aren't heavy enough to keep tension on the line as i retrieve, the line spools on loosely and causes a birds-nest/jumble mess frequently. I have been putting the line between my two fingers above the reel, a few inches below the bottom eye on the rod, which helps it spool on tightly and prevents the mess from occurring but, its just not comfortable and somewhat annoying. There is no problem when I use a crank-bait. Any ideas on how to fix this, someway to add tension?

There is NO evidence to prove that ANYthing we use to paint our lures (or our boats) presents any kind of threat to fish and wildlife who use the waters of lakes and streams. To paint the heads of unfinished lead head jigs, I recommend some of the really exotic pearl colors found in the cosmetic department of most drug stores or larger department stores like Wal-Mart. Check out the selection of fingernail polishes for a great choice of color options. Then, if you need to, use the Sharpie to add features like eyes, mouth, gills, etc. It works for me, and the fish I consume regularly show NO signs of chemical poisoning. Neither do I! Go for it!

If you think of a box when you come out of the house into the back yard, to the opposite end and dead center is a stone fireplace that's been there forever. we do use it and enjoy it. to the right and coming up from the back there is maple tree, then the garage door and then the gate to the driveway. On the left is our daughter's swing set. there is some open green space in the middle that the kids use to play and run around. off the house is a deck and patio. back on the left there is an extra strip that goes back maybe 30 feet and is probably 10 or 12 feet deep. towards the front of that space is a big tree (over 100 years old) that we would never cut, but the roots make it impossible to grow anything. and because it is "around the corner" it never gets used. any suggestions on what we could do to make it functioning usable space?

Input is 120v, Output is 9v. Someone was running across the room and snapped the cord in half. I could probably strip the plastic insulation and twist the wires back together. How do i catch these trout?

I found a small stream in Northwestern Connecticut that is stocked with rainbow and i think brown trout. On a straight a way, there is a large fallen white pine tree that crosses the stream and lays in the water maybe a couple inches. A bunch of debris has caught on this tree on the upstream side. The downstream side has a deep pool, maybe 7-8 feet. On the downstream side of the tree i can see a group of trout with huge lunker trout just swimming in place facing upstream. The water is super calm there. They hang out just past and underneath this tree. I've tried just about everything to catch these guys. Yard worms on a hook with and without sinker, Power/Trout bait, rooster tails, salmon eggs, tube bait, bass head jigs, minnows, lures of all kinds. It is frustrating because I can SEE them just below me when i fish off the tree. The big trout don't even check out my bait. I can catch small ones here and there, but i want a real keeper. Do these bigger trout just not bite? How do i catch them? I am using a closed face reel on a very light pole about 4 ft long, with 10 lb line.

You cold take a steel rod or punch and place it in the hole and hammer on it to see if that breaks up the rock or if it is in fact rebar. I do not understand how you are using a hammer drill in a place that you can't get your head above the hole though. If in fact you are using a concrete bit which does not look like a regular drill bit, masonry bits have little wings on the tip, and will not even come close to drilling steel.

The Christian Narrow Gate?

Can a true Christian elaborate on this? My contention is that like Jesus proclaimed "few will find it" based on true repentance of sins, which is a part of the forgiveness He brings. I feel that by through God's word, our sins are revealed and then we must repent. I often debate a fellow Christian on this, she maintains that we all desire sin and in effect remain in this state (Romans 7) but does not understand that true repentance comes from being saved. It isn't a wishy washy proclamation to believe in Jesus that he died for our sins, if the Holy Spirit enters your heart and your proclamation is heart driven (internal) and God's knows the heart, taking the order of the Holy Spirit to be an obedient servant, I believe at this point you are actually saved and then we can pursue total righteousness instead of sin. Can anyone explain this better? Other words the born again sentiment as stated in the Gospel message.

First in our own strength none can do or be good. You have to be born again and give the Holy Spirit as a guide for your life. That is why Jesus Christ came into the world to save those who would follow Him. You have to ask Jesus into your heart and confess your sins to Him and make Him the Lord of your life. It does not mean you will never sin again but is does mean that God will guide your steps and reprove you when you do wrong but He loves you very much and wants the best for your life.

How to align two parallel wheels?

Not quite sure in which category it belongs. I want to built a kind a large tricycle. I can weld and I want to build it out of existing bike parts. I've got most of it together, but I am a bit stuck how to make sure the two back wheels which should be parallel are indeed so. Yes, I have tried several different teeth whitening products. I think the white stripes weaken your teeth, mine became very sensitive to the heat and cold. Besides, they taste horrible and take a long time to work. I found my personal favorite to be listerine's total care plus whitening to be the best. Not only are my teeth obveously whiter (yes it took several weeks, but well worth it) but they are also stronger too:) I definitely recommend the listerine over crest white strips.
